Guild Ranks

Outlined below are our various Guild Ranks, and the associated level and experience required to obtain them.

Once you have reached a rank in our Guild you keep the rank regardless of any new rank requirement changes, which ensures that existing members are never disadvantaged by changes.  Member rights are always in line with their rank.

On-Trial
Required Level: 45
Required Guild XP: 0 XP

Anyone (any level, any character, and any nationality) can join our guild.  Guild xp contribution for this rank is 10% because we want you to move quickly to an Apprentice rank.

On-Trial is a rank where new members get to show their commitment to our guild.  In the past we have allowed people to stay on-trial too long so now any member that is on-trial can be released from the guild at any time to make room for another member.  So we encourage you to level up to the Apprentice rank as soon as you can.

Apprentice
Required Level: 45
Required Guild XP: 500 XP

As the name suggests members in this rank are usually new to the game of Dofus and our guild.  These members will rely on Mentors and Guides to assist them level their character.  The minimum guild xp contribution for this rank is 10%.

Again these members are meant to be showing their commitment to our guild, so members may be released from the guild if they haven't been on for over a week or they haven't contributed xp to the guild for over a week.

Rights: No rights are bestowed on members at this level

Recruiting Officer
Required Level: 45
Required Guild XP: 2.000 XP

As the name suggests members in this rank are able to recruit other members into our guild, and this is the first rank that receives a right.  The minimum guild xp contribution for this rank remains at 10%.

Again these members are meant to be showing their commitment to our guild, so members may be released from the guild if they haven't been on for over a week or they haven't contributed xp to the guild for over a week.

Rights:
Invite new members

Mentor
Required Level:45
Required Guild XP: 4.000 XP

The Mentor rank is a step up from the Recruiting Officer.  As the name suggests, Mentors are expected to mentor (to assist and support) the members in the Apprentice and Recruiting Officer ranks.  While this rank doesn’t get new rights, the guild exp contribution is reduced to 5% (down from 10%).

Guide

Reservists gain the right to use our paddocks.

In addition, members at this rank can choose their rank name from amongst the following Reservist, Craftsman, Scout, Spy, Diplomat, Secretary, Servant, Pet Killer, Traitor, Poacher, Treasure Hunter, Thief, Initiate, Murderer, Muse, Counsellor, Chosen One,  Breeder, Merchant, Torturer, Nuisance, and Penitent.

Required Level: 80
Required Guild XP: 250.000 XP
Required Time in Guild: 8 weeks
Requirement: Position vacant – There is a maximum of 13 Protectors in our Guild
Required Approval: Guild Leader & Officers

The Protector rank is an important rank in our Guild because anyone at this rank (or above it) is considered a Guild Officer.  It is for this reason that before someone is promoted into this rank they must be voted on by their peers.  Specifically, a vote is sought from all members at the rank of Protector and above as to whether they support the promotion of an individual to become a Guild Officer.  To be successfully promoted, a person needs to receive a majority of "Yes" votes.  The Guild Leader will seek out the necessary votes anonymously from all Guild Officers.

The members of this rank have proven that they have the guild's best interests at heart and they have contributed significantly to the guild development. There are only a certain number of Protector positions available (maximum of 13).  So in order to reach this level a position must be first available and a majority vote must be obtained.

Reward: As a reward for achieving this rank - the Guild has decided to give everyone at this rank a free mount (seventh generation or lower).

Rights:

Required Level: 90
Required Guild XP: 350.000 XP
Required Time in Guild: 10 weeks
Requirement: Position vacant - There is a maximum of 6 Treasurers in our Guild
Required Approval: Guild Leader & Treasurers

The Treasurer rank is a step up from the Protector rank and it’s for guild members who have proven loyalty to the guild, are responsible, reliable, trustworthy and fair.  Members at this rank are considered Senior Guild Officers and can be involved in all decisions on guild matters, such as these guild ranks and rank requirements.  Because members at this rank have given so much to the guild they deserve the highest level of respect from other members. There are only a certain number of Treasurer positions available (maximum of 6).  A person requires a majority vote from those at or above Treasurer rank to obtain this rank - these votes will be gathered by the Leader.

This rank gains the right to change guild member ranks.

The Second-In-Command rank is a step up from the Treasurer rank and it’s a rank rarely awarded.  Members at this rank are considered Guild Officers and are involved in all decisions on guild matters, such as these guild ranks and rank requirements. There are only a certain number of positions available (maximum of 3).  There must be a unanimous vote from the other Second-In-Commands for someone to be promoted to this level.

This rank gains the right to Fit-out Paddocks and Boost Collector Stats.

Ban rights

There is always a lot of questions about who gets the Ban rights and a lot of guilds have had trouble with accidents associated with the ban rights.  Some guilds have had trouble after giving the Ban rights to "trusted" members only to find half the guild banned as a joke.  Some guilds have had the problem that the person who had the Ban rights shared their log-in with someone else and that other person decided to ban a bunch of people.  For whatever the reason the Ban right has caused many Guilds a lot of problems.  The Ban right is particularly a concern for those members who have contributed considerably to a guild.  Just imagine how you would feel if after contributing over 300,000 to a guild you find yourself banned as a joke - its not funny.  The Dofus web-site and the forums are filled with guilds who are trying to find members who were banned "accidentally".

For these reasons, the Ban right is not given out in our Guild beyond the Guild Leader.

An associated problem with the Ban right is that of the Right to hand out rights. A guild can not give out the Right to hand out rights without giving out the right to Ban.  This is because if you have the right to hand out rights then you have the right to ban and the right to give members the right to ban.  For this reason guild members, even SIC members, aren't given the right to hand out rights.  The forums have suggested that the rights to hand out rights in future will not include the Ban right - once this happens the SIC rank will have the Right to hand out rights.
